Bio: Sara Wilkes is a calligrapher and hand lettering artist based in Bothell, WA. She’s been actively honing her skills since 2017, but she just recently began channeling them into a business. She creates bright, colorful art that is inspired by what she reads and hears. A huge part of her practice is making goals and projects for herself, including several year-long art projects. Most recently she completed Sara Reads and Letters, wherein she lettered a quote from each book she read in 2021 (and she reads a lot!). She believes words can inspire and illuminate things about ourselves and those around us. Outside of art, she loves cooking and eating great food, drinking copious amounts of tea, and turning her brain off with some good ol’ reality TV.
