Bio: I’m a little surprised to find myself the owner of an art based business! I started taking community art classes in my early 40s on the east coast – quilting, mosaics, pottery, drawing. I discovered paint pouring after moving west, and found that my friends wanted me to teach them. Then friends with businesses asked me to teach and sell in their creative spaces. I discovered I enjoy teaching and encouraging others in their creativity. My favorite thing is when someone comes to a class saying “I’m not artistic” and then leaves having created something beautiful, personal and expressive. In addition to teaching, I sell my work in retail stores and online and I accept commissions. My husband and I own and operate other completely not art based businesses (one of which enables me to drive mini-excavators!) and enjoy our three dogs, 9 chickens and molding our home and property to suit our needs.
