Bio: My name is Jessica Edwards, and I am a ceramic artist based in Sequim, Washington. When I was in college, I fell in love with slab-built pottery, metalsmithing, and fiber arts, and though I am employed as an English instructor, I’d really like to spend the rest of my life making art and tending to a small flock of chickens. While living in Georgia and Idaho, I participated in art festivals selling embossed, stoneware ooak bowls and platters (and fairy houses and jewelry too!). Since moving to Washington, I’ve shifted into making mostly marbled and embossed clay jewelry. I’m in the process of building up inventory and researching regional opportunities to sell my work. When I’m not in the studio (or grading essays), I like to cuddle with my hubster Chris and with my two pups (Potter and Conor), cook mostly vegan dinners, and write poetry.
