Bio: I’m Jacquelyn Speare; a teacher, maker, and artist. I live life as a creative pursuit. I enjoy a variety of art mediums, although currently, printmaking and public art are my main focus. With my background in professional education, I have taught high school art, alternative school, and regularly do teaching artist work. Recently, I completed a 4 year term on the City of Bremerton Arts Commission. As a mama of two children, sharing about mothering and the responsibilities women keep in our culture is essential to my work of being an artist and mother. The ocean and mountains of the Pacific Northwest is where I call home. They inspire my work as well as my interest in local food, sustainable living, and community.
