Bio: Hi! My name is Brenna White and I am an artist and designer from Portland Oregon. I have been a maker my entire life. I currently work doing illustration and artwork for the Tualatin West Coast Giant Pumpkin Regatta and run an Etsy shop. I have worked for the City of Tualatin and am a contract artist for McMenamin’s Restaurants. My “day” job has been teaching for the last 12 years. I have taught all levels Elementary through High School, but I have been lucky enough to have spent the last 7 years as the Digital Art and Graphic Design Teacher at Tualatin High School where I run a CTE Program of Study in Design and Production. Although I love teaching very much, the need to go back to design and illustration has become undeniable and I will finish my career as a teacher this June to focus solely on art. I am so excited to collaborate with other makers and am really interested in more information about the business side/accounting/taxes of running your own business.
